Get it done Monday
Another author said that she used Mondays for all her marketing chores--Marketing Mondays she calls it. How smart! I have nothing against marketing, but I tend to bury myself so much in writing that I space it (because creating worlds and characters is much more fun than remembering to fill our X form and put Y in the mail....)
So I'm doing "Get It Done" Monday. In the spirit of that, I've purchased an ad, ordered bookmarks, emailed about speaking engagements, and worked on getting to the RT conference.
I invite you to post what you get done or want to get done on "Get it Done" Monday.
Back to writing. I have a 5000 word goal today.

I want to write five pages tonight and tell my hero to stop nagging me for a sex scene. He
wants to have sex. I want him to focus on stopping the heroine's attempts to become an Egyptian warrior.
Character v.s. author conflict.
I'll have to tell him to sheathe his love sword until a later chapter. Or maybe I'll just pen him a quickie just to shut him up. Men! That's ALL they think about!!!
Good for you on getting things accomplished. These days I'm so scatterbrained that I had to call my cell phone to find out where I misplaced it. Still not sure where it is. Maybe in the bathtub. Or the dog ate it. Minutes, argghhh!
Today, I am "bad Mom." My son doesn't have school, so he's at day care while I have been foot loose and fancy free since dropping him off. I have now been through all my writing receipts for 2005 and put them into Excel in preparation for having my taxes done well before Apr-15. But now that's done and I'm going to tackle proposals...
I want to finish chapter four on Phoenix, book three in my Star series.
And being able to move without screaming would be nice. I worked out with my PT this morning and his main goal was to cause as much pain as possible.
I admire you Carolyn for tackling the tax thing. Something I so need to do.
"Sheath his love sword???" Bonnie??? I love it!!! I want to see that in the book.
Cindy, but all that pain is worth it, right? Right?
Today was one of my "Uni Days", more specifically, the Dreaded Day of Corrections. Corrected two research papers, then thought about jumping out of the window.
I would have rather concentrated on my hero's love sword. Curiously, I've almost reached page 100, and so far that thing hasn't once clamored for attention. Very strange. Normally my characters can't wait to have a love scene written for them. Hm ...
Oh, and another thing that still needs to get done on this lovely Monday evening: the litter trays. Duh.
This is a great idea, Jennifer. I was proud of myself this morning - wrote up my entire promotions plan and drafted an ad for my very first Kensington erotic romance release, SIN. Then this aft, my editor requested a blurb for my upcoming book - so that's top of the to do list for the rest of the day. And I signed up for your Carolina Romance workshop, Tips for Staying Sane (well, that was last week, technically). I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi, Jen,
You motivated me to go write and upload ad copy for my upcoming romantic suspense, The Deadliest Denial (May release). I've been putting that off for a week as I work to finish Heat Lightning, my November release. I finished a chapter on that, too, so I feel all virtuous.
Too bad I have absolutely no idea what comes next!
I'm a day late, but I managed to mail off a requested manuscript, compose a status letter, workout, and write more for an entry on Romancing the Blog. :) Today, Tues., I'm putting together the list needed to finish the rest of my 'to do' tasks.
