Breathing
I've been quiet on blogs lately for several reasons; mostly because I again have a bunch of deadlines looming and have to focus the writing energy there. I hope everyone is enjoying the Elizabeth I tale. I haven't seen the movie yet--don't get to many movies same reason I don't post much or watch much TV. Writing!!
The Queen's Handmaiden was given a very nice review at All About Romance, and elected a "Desert Island Keeper." It's such a low-profile book (and in many ways, I like that!) that it's good to see it getting recognition.
The other thing I've been doing is reading. I've had the pleasure of finding some excellent books this year, from Silhouette Special Editions (namely Wendy Warren, The Boss and Miss Baxter), romantic suspense (Head On, by Colleen Thompson), historical fiction (The Course of Honor by Lyndsey Davis), to paranormal fiction (more of the Sookie series by Charlaine Harris).
As an author I always advocate reading other people's work, both for relaxation and to keep the creative juices flowing. Examples of excellent writing constantly passing in front of the eyeballs doesn't hurt either!
I'm coming up on the five-year mark of my career, so soon I'll be posting musings about that. I've learned so much in half a decade I can't believe it.
Cheers.

Thanks so much for the kind words re. Head On. I'm delighted that you enjoyed it.
