Stardust County

As some people may (or may not) know, I'm not only a writer but a musician. Right now I'm rehearsing for participation a CD called Stardust County, written by my musician/songwriter friend Nancy Freeman.

Stardust County is a werewolf/fantasy/romance in song. It is brilliantly written and will come with a story sheet (if I remember correctly) so you can follow along with the adventure.

I have one solo track, two duets with Nancy, and some choral work as well as playing flute on many of the songs. My husband, with his lovely bass voice, sings the part of one of the villains.

I have a page all about Stardust County and the CD on my website, including links to rough mixes of some of the songs.

The CD will be released at the end of June 2007 by Mystic Fig Studios.

Wow, the holidays went right by. We took the tree down yesterday (it's tradition in my famliy to take it down the 6th of January), but it seemed like we just put it up!

I haven't updated lately because if I thought I was swamped before, it's nothing compared to now. I must get the book I'm working on done asap and get Book 4 of Immortals done right on its heels. No rest after that--I have two more shorter things due days to weeks after I turn that in.

So I'm burning the candle at both ends and getting things done. Blogging has to take a lower priority right now, unfortunately.

But as soon as I can breathe again, I have an idea for a blog/newsletter to start that should be big, fun, and informative. It's spinning in my head right now and once I'm done finishing manuscripts I'll be starting that.

Meanwhile, don't miss the Immortals MySpace site ( and the main site ( Friend us please!

My exciting announcements are that Mad, Bad Duke has stuck around the Bookscan top 100 for five weeks, and an anthology I was in at Ellora's Cave has been nominated for an award. Still more news will come when I have all the details (I love to tease!).
