woo hoo news

I learned yesterday that I was nominated for an RT Reviewer's Choice award for THE SUDBURY SCHOOL MURDERS, by Ashley Gardner. For Best Historical Mystery. Yay.

My good friends RHONDA WOODWARD and GLENDA GARLAND were each nominated as well--Rhonda for Best Regency (Miss Emma's Dilemma), and Glenda for Career Achievement in Regency. Both of these ladies write wonderful, wonderful books.

My final bit of woo hoo news is that I typed "The End" to the draft of Playing with Fire. It needs work and polish, but the hard part is done. I've learned a lot on this book--all about dragon lore and witchy magic, as well as Chinese history (it's a contemporary, but history plays a part).

Take care!! What is your good news?

happy solstice!

Raising my head to say hi, and to say I updated my web site and my FAQ pages. For latest news see:
www.jennifersromances.com/newsnews.html

For FAQ: www.jennifersromances.com/faq.html, which contains the answer to the burning question--why so many pseudonyms??

Also, I received a wonderful review for A Lady Raised High: A Novel of Anne Boleyn at Historical Romance Writers: http://www.historicalromancewriters.com/review.cfm?reviewID=3857

Writing up a storm in this Yuletide. Hope to at least get some time for Christmas, but a writer's work is never done. Take care!

New Book and Deep Lurk

An Ashley Gardner mystery comes out tomorrow, A Body in Berkeley Square. It's already getting some nice reviews. This is book 5 in the Lacey Regency mystery series, and Lacey is called in to investigate the death of a young dandy in Berkeley Square, possibly done by his former commander, Colonel Brandon. Lacey's investigation uncovers secrets of Brandon's past that were best left undisturbed.

Look for it in the mystery sections of your local bookstore.

And now I have to go into deep lurk mode. I'll try to blog when I can, but I have to write. I have a book due in Jan., one due in Feb, and I believe several things in March (including a vampire novella, which should be fun). Happy holidays!
