Audio Editions of the Mackenzies (first four books)

As you know, the audio book of Madness of Lord Ian is already out.

I see by Tantor Audio's website that the audio versions of

Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage will be released in JUNE

Many Sins of Lord Cameron will be released in JUNE

The Duke's Perfect Wife will be released in JULY

Angela Dawe is narrating all of them.

These are up for pre-order on Tantor's website. They're released by Audible and iTunes a couple weeks after Tantor's release, from what I understand.

I am beyond thrilled that the entire series will be in audio!!

OK, so now I need a movie. Rights are available.... :-) Mmm hmm. :-)

Meet the Staff

I hear these days that most, if not all, authors have a professional assistant or even a staff that takes care of the day-to-day  things (like blogging and posting and other time-consuming chores), while the writer gets on with the creative work.

I thought I'd introduce readers to my staff (all male), because I find them very helpful.

This is Tall Guy. He answers, when he's in a zany mood, to Minion. Or to Sweetie. As in "Sweetie, would you do me a huge favor, and . . .???" He obligingly takes packages to the post office, buys office supplies, and reads drafts of my manuscripts for that Y chromosome take on things.

First Executive Assistant. Also known as The Natural Disaster. He climbs up on my desk and throws everything off with his huge paws, then demands petting as a reward. After that, he jumps down and walks away, his work there done. He's also very good at waking me up at 4 am, so I don't oversleep.

Second Executive Assistant (brother to First EA). Also known as The Spawn of Satan. He keeps me on schedule, as in "We're supposed to be sitting on the couch now." "We're supposed to be going to bed now." "The Minion is supposed to be feeding us now." "I really mean NOW."

He also keeps me from being a workaholic by curling up on my office chair as soon as I take a  break.

When I'm feeling stressed, depressed, or down in any way, the First and Second Executive assistants consider it their job to make me feel better with sheer cuteness.

There you have it. The day-to-day staff in the office of Romance Author Jennifer Ashley.

Duke's Perfect Wife, Pirate Next Door, Audio Books!

Yay! Today, April 3, is the official release date for The Duke’s Perfect Wife. This is Book 4 of the Mackenzies series, Hart’s story. I loved being able to at last delve into Hart’s character and give him his happy ending. You’ll see a lot of Ian in this one.

Look for the print books in B&N’s, BAM’s, indie bookstores, Walmart, etc. It’s also available online and in ebook form (Kindle, Nook, Sony, Kobo, et al).

Also, yesterday (Monday) was the ebook re-release of The Pirate Next Door! To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of me getting The Call (my first publishing contract offer), I’m republishing the early Pirate books. I’ve completely revised, re-edited, and re-polished the book, so it’s a little bit different from the old print version.

Find it at:

Smashwords:

The rest of the pirate series will follow in the next month or so.

Another exciting announcement: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie is now available as an audio book! You can find it at Audible, Amazon, iTunes, and through the publisher, Tantor (http://www.tantor.com/BookDetail.asp?Product=B0692_MadnessLord).

It looks like Tantor has Duke's Perfect Wife available for pre-order in audio as well! Hopefully we'll get the rest of the series out there.

As for the Shifters series: The next short novel (both e- and print)—Spike’s story—will be called Hard Mated (unless I change my mind on the title yet again), and will come out no later than August 2012.

My old books will continue to be re-released, the Pirate series first, then Immortals, then Nvengaria. I plan to release about one a month as I can, though I have to make sure to get my front-list writing done (which includes another Captain Lacey book and Nightwalker).

So lots of news today! I hope you enjoy whatever you choose to read.
