no time to blog

I am frantically trying to finish up a mystery to get to my editor this Friday, plus a romance to turn in Aug. 1. I am editing like crazy!! No time to post interesting, or even boring things on my blog. :-D

I did get the covers for Body in Berkeley Square. Don't have a scan, but it's at Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0425207285/qid=1121798985/sr=2-3/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_3/102-8754035-6335301

What's bizarre is that Sudbury School Murders got fantastic Amazon rankings, but not one reader has posted a comment. Did anyone like this book? Or hate it? Anything? (LOL)

Take care, hopefully more posting later....

another ms. done

I am rejoicing because yesterday, I finished the draft of A Covent Garden Mystery, only one day after I'd planned. Woo hoo! It's currently at about 83,000 words, and it's only suupposed to be 80K (though I'll glance at my contract to be sure), but that gives me room to cut deadwood.

Now looking at copyedits of the Anne Boleyn book.

Notice how my blog is mostly about the writing work I do? That's becuase I do so much of it! Who has time for speculation about the writing business when I have to be deep in stories all the time? And personally, I prefer to be deep into the stories. It's more fun in there.

Tomorrow, I start crunching to finish Penelope and Prince Charming. Looking forward to switching back to lots of romance. I love romance.

Take care,

wow

I just finished writing 6700 words today. I didn't even realize it. I wanted to reach page 200 (got to 202), and concentrated on that. Guess it's a good thing I didn't know how much I was writing! But, I get in the rhythm, I know the story, and out it comes.

My lingerie contest is over--congrats to Karen Gray who won 75 bucks to buy anything she wants at Bare Necessities.

Whew. I'm tired, but looking forward to writing tomorrow. My mother is taking me out for high tea at an English tea shop, which should put me in the mood. Perhaps I'll take a Captain Lacey book with me, or pretend I'm Lady Breckenridge. That should be fun.
