yet another cover

Here's the cover for Confessions of a Lingerie Addict. I absolutely love it.

My writing life continues thick and fast. But I still love writing. Even with all the negative things that go on in publishing and all the stress and all the crap, I still love characters and stories.

new cover

I just got the covers for The Sudbury School Murders, coming in June. Here it is:

I like it! I hope to see the Lingerie Addict one soon.

I sure am having fun writing the Anne Boleyn book. I'm about 90 pages into it, and I love going back to the keyboard to write more. It's given me a refreshing creative boost.

I recommend that anyone with writer's block or burnout to write something completely new and different! Very liberating.

I have bread baking in the bread machine, and it smells wonderful. I'm trying a variation on an oatmeal/rye/whole wheat recipe I found, except I don't have any rye flour, so am going with whole wheat/oatmeal. Smells good, anyway.

The Glass House a bestseller!

My December mystery, The Glass House was not only the #2 bestselling paperback for Dec. 2004 at The Poisoned Pen mystery bookstore, but it was the #7 bestseller overall at Independent Mystery Bookstore Association bookstores. Wow!! Thanks to all the readers who purchased the book. I appreciate your support.

I've been far too swamped to even post to my blog. Finished revisions on Lingerie Addict for my editor and sent those back, finished a proofreading project and sent it back, and am now full-time on Anne Boleyn. Research, write, research, write. My goal is 4000 words per day so I can get the draft done quickly. Then I can revise, revise, revise. The sweat is dropping from my brow even as we speak.

Take care,

hail, yes

Got a deluge of marble-sized hail yesterday, so I took a pic.

Small things excite me. I have lots of news, though:

I finished and mailed Lacey Book 5!!! Changed the title to A Death in Mayfair from Murder in High Places. I wanted a London place name in the title. Pub. date is Dec. 2005.

No sooner was that done when my Dorchester editor called with revisions on Lingerie Addict. Not many, though, so whew. I feared the worst. Pub. date June 2005

Found out that The Pirate Hunter was nominated for a Romaniic Times Reviewer's Choice Award for 2004. (yay! I love James.)

The Care and Feeding of Pirates got a decent review in RT, and the hero Christopher Raine was awarded KISS status (Knight in Shining Silver--means a very charming, sexy, romantic, fun, gorgeous hero). Only a few are chosen out of all the romances out in a given month, so way to go Christopher!! I have to admit, he's drool-worthy.

I love writing heroes. You know, it takes me a while to get the heroine, her motivations, her character, her needs, etc., but my heroes I know right off the bat. They walk around in my head and banter with me and tell me everything. I have a rought life. :-)

Best,
Jennifer
